Accessibility Statement

We want this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including anyone using a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is the standard most commonly used in the UK, and the one referenced by the Equality Act 2010 guidance.

What we have built in

  • Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • A skip link so keyboard users can jump straight to the main content.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and lists, so screen readers can navigate structurally.
  • Accordions, menus and filters expose their state through ARIA attributes.
  • Animation is disabled for anyone who has set a reduced-motion preference.
  • The layout works down to 320px and reflows without horizontal scrolling.
  • Text and interface colours are checked against WCAG contrast ratios.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than imply the site is perfect.

  • Image placeholders are still in place across the site. Alternative text will be written when the real photography is supplied.
  • Video content has not yet been added; captions and transcripts are required before it is.
  • The site has not yet been through a formal third-party accessibility audit or tested with assistive technology users.
  • Third-party sites linked from the dealer directory are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
